Pamela Gabbay

Hello I’m Pamela Gabbay, a child and adolescent psychotherapist. My journey in this field began by completing an MPhil in Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge. I then trained in Psychoanalytic Observational Studies at the Tavistock Clinic, followed by completing an accredited MA in Transpersonal Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy from the CCPE (Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education). To further expand my skills, I have also undertaken an art therapy training at the University of Hertfordshire. This diverse training has enabled me to take an integrative approach to my work, combining more traditional aspects of psychotherapy alongside more holistic and creative therapies. It is within this space that I believe young people can articulate their emotions and communicate their inner worlds without relying upon the verbal medium alone. The use of art becomes a powerful tool for self discovery, emotional release and healing.

My previous work has taken place in primary and secondary schools, charities and within a multi-agency service working with adolescents and their families. I now work privately with children and young adults aged between 4-25 offering in person and online sessions. Issues I commonly work with are bereavement, depression, anxiety, behavioural difficulties, trauma and self harm.

Every therapeutic journey is unique and I tailor my approach to meet the individual needs of each client. I am committed to providing a compassionate and non-judgemental environment where children and young people can feel understood and supported. It is through the collaboration between therapist and client where trust and safety is established and where transformation and growth can occur.
