Amy Lever

I am a dedicated and energetic Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with a wealth of experience supporting children with complex communication needs. Since earning my postgraduate degree in 2018, I’ve worked with children aged 18 months to 18 years across homes, nurseries, mainstream, and specialist settings.

With four degrees, I bring a blend of academic strength and hands-on expertise. I’m GLP trained, neuro-affirming, and skilled in techniques like Intensive Interaction, TEACCH, PCI/Hanen, Attention Autism, Lidcombe, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Lego Therapy, and Interactive Storytelling.

My specialty is empowering neurodiverse and non-speaking children to communicate using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). As lead SLT for a specialist autism provision in London, and now working independently, I focus on high-frequency, direct therapy delivered in home and school environments.

Alongside this, I support older children and young people to develop effective strategies for emotional regulation, deepen their understanding of their neurodiversity, and build the confidence to advocate for themselves and their needs.

My approach is inclusive, playful, and client-driven—fostering collaboration with families, educators, and professionals. I prioritize sensory-friendly spaces and community connection.

My mission? To help every child find their unique voice and shine confidently in their world.
