Dr Candice Joseph

My name is Candice Joseph. I’m a highly skilled and compassionate chartered clinical psychologist with extensive training and experience in helping people to feel better. I work with younger children, adolescents and adults experiencing an array of issues such as stress, low mood, anxiety, trauma, school, university or work related issues. I also work with children and adults with suspected or diagnosed Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

I am committed to providing a safe and comfortable space where people feel they can share information about themselves without feeling judged, pathologised or stigmatised. I am dedicated to developing trusting and caring therapeutic relationships in the hope clients leave sessions feeling better and more resilient in both the shorter and longer term.

I draw on different psychological models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative and Systemic Family Therapies based on the needs of my client. I have recently undertaken further training in Eye Movement Sensitivity and Reprocessing (EMDR) for adults.
I am a member of the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
